Interestingly, America discusses minimum wage. It seems like policy options for reducing poverty have become quite similar between developed countries and developing countries. We still remember that New York implemented cash transfers. Also, we know that Food stamp is widely recognised social protection scheme in the USA. This may be a sign for the mutual learning between (so called) the north and the south.
