Listening to the catastrophe of Haiti, a number of development agencies have been putting as much efforts as they can. Although having the same purpose to help Haiti people, each of them takes different approaches to collect money and implement supports.

The British Library for Development Studies (BLDS) based in the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), Brighton, has started an interesting campaign for a part of their contributions to Haiti. According to their email to library users, their fines will go to Haiti appeal this week. They also said, “We hope this will be an added incentive to pay fines this week!”

This kind of humour might give donors and people with smile as well as Haiti with supports. Everybody can smile and pleasure even in such severe situation. This BLDS’s campaign may truly represent their professionalism.
