Whose earth? 15 Years After Sevan Suzuki

Have you watched this video, which shows a Canadian girl is making a peach about environmental issues at UN earth summit 1992? When I watched it, I cried but I don’t know why I did. I was just impressed and shocked. She was only 12 years old at the time.

In my county, we always use cheap wood chopsticks in restaurants and throw them away after meals. This is a pretty convenient system because nobody has to wash those chopsticks. But we have to think about where those come from. Actually, it is China, where has a huge area becoming a desert.

Last week, I bought a pair of chopsticks and a lovely wrap and use them at restaurants.Perhaps, there is something we can do for our earth, but it’s not something special.

What do you think about it?
